Implementing Identity Support Plans for Transgender, Gender non-conforming and Non-binary Students

Stylized Raised Hands in Various Sizes and Colors

The What & the How: Improving Educational Outcomes through Trauma Informed Support

Is your school ready with tools and systems in place to accommodate the gender needs of TGNC students and to be compliant with this law? The state of California requires school districts to provide equity and access to transgender and gender nonconforming (TGNC) students at school. Support for TGNC students is rooted in the state’s Education Code, and the California Department of Education has also provided guidance on how districts should support their TGNC students.

Orange County Resource Directory team specialists have designed an Identity Support Planning (IDSP) tool to help school districts support their TGNC students. IDSPs facilitate school safety and academic achievement for TGNC students.

Join us for a two-part webinar training series, where field experts Lindsey Etheridge and Heidi Cisneros will share their newly released Identity Support Planning Tool. The series will provide implementation guidance for the plan, advocacy skills, and other strategies for supporting TGNC students. Each session offers plenty of time for Q&A and discussion.

When is this series?

January 31st and February 7th, 2022, from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. PT
(two consecutive Mondays)
Note that while recommended, it is not required to attend both sessions.
