Project Youth OCBF

Project Youth OCBF’s vision is to empower youth and their families to make positive choices, building the foundation for a lifetime of opportunity and success.

Our goal is to reach at-risk youth early and provide long-term solutions to the obstacles they face. This is accomplished by offering specialized services to help youth make positive and healthy life choices. For many of the youth we serve, this involves giving them a second chance to get back on the right path.

Teens 4 Teens Help

Teens4TeensHelp.org is an on-line mental health platform designed for and by, teens and young adults. This nonprofit was born from our personal experience, after our daughter’s story helped direct a suicidal boy towards recovery. We know that the peer-to-peer connection is the most powerful way to reach teens and on-line video is their preferred medium. This site is a resource for teens and young adults and for those who care about or work with them. It is designed to reduce stigma and isolation while providing inspiration, information, hope, and paths to recovery. We collaborate with Universities and other nonprofits for content creation and resource development. All materials are reviewed by our professional and teen advisory boards.

This site features:

  • Video stories of recovery by teens from a variety of mental health issues
  • Short animated informational videos, self-help info, and practical how to videos
  • Resources – Websites, hotlines, text lines, apps, & therapy referrals
  • Teen Talk Webinars – Teens interview experts in mental health on a topic like, anxiety, participants can ask questions in the chat.

Pediatric Mental Health

At CHOC, we believe pediatric mental health treatment should be fully integrated with physical health treatment. Our psychiatry and psychology specialists work closely together to attend to our patients’ emotional, behavioral and developmental needs through inpatient and intensive outpatient therapy programs.

Services include inpatient and outpatient services.

Child & Adolescent Services

Our team of child psychiatrists, child psychologists and clinical social workers provide expert care along a full continuum of services including inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient services. We provide services for all ages – preschoolers, school age children and teenagers.

Depending on the needs of your child or teen, our team provides a thorough assessment including psychiatric evaluation, psychological testing and evaluations from other medical specialties. Based on the results of the evaluation, an individualized treatment program is developed to successfully resolve the unique symptoms and issues faced by the child or teen and their family.

We provide a wide range of medical and psychological services to meet the specific needs of each patient including psychiatric medication management, individual and group psychotherapy, family therapy, play therapy and parent education. When necessary, our team will work with schools to assure an appropriate educational program is in place to meet the psychosocial and educational needs of your child or teen
